Hello everyone. Back today with another round of Friday Picks with the Busy Gal for you this week. Of course, these are just random things I came across during my late night internet surfing and wanted to share them with you.
July 4th isn’t far away and I have been searching for some decor and home items and found several I wanted to share with you. Even one that I made myself for last years celebration.
#1 – STARS & STRIPE FANS
Aren’t these the cutest stars and stripe fans. I thought they would look great hanging above an outdoor dining table or underneath an outdoor umbrella. But you could use them indoor as well. Maybe hanging over a buffet table. So many ways you could decorate with these.
#2 – ALGOMA HAMMOCK
This would be a perfect hammock for July 4th and all summer long. It comes with the stand, is reversible to solid blue, has a pillow, drink holder, tablet holder and storage bag. It had great reviews on Kohl’s and is on sale for $99.99, marked down from $249.
And if Father’s Day has sneaked up on you. Yikes!!! Like me……I don’t think dad would mind getting this just a little bit late.
#3 – PATRIOTIC 3-PACK LANTERN SET
Wouldn’t these lanterns be perfect for your July 4th parties. They have that rustic farmhouse vibe and would look cute on an outdoor dining table or buffet or they would also look great hanging in the trees, especially a night time.
#4 – PAINTED FLAG ON DRIFTWOOD
Like I said at the beginning of my post, this is the item that I made last year for our July 4th celebrations. I found a piece of driftwood on a nearby lake and immediately thought this would be cool painted to represent an American flag. For the stripes, I took frog tape and marked it off to represent the stripes, then painted it red and white. Then for the stars, I painted the entire area all white, then I found some star stick-ons at Walmart and just randomly stuck those on then painted over that entire area with blue paint. Once the paint had dried good, I removed the star stick-ons to reveal the white stars underneath.
Sorry I don’t have a tutorial. I made this before I ever started blogging. I hope to find another piece of driftwood to make another one. If you are interested in this one, I have it listed on my Etsy shop for sale. You can check it out here.
#5 – PATRIOTIC SERVING TRAY
This would make a great tray for serving drinks or food during your July 4th celebrations. It is approximately 20 inches long and about 15 inches wide. I found this one at Amazon. You can check it out here.
Hope you enjoyed today’s picks. I will be back next Friday with another round of picks.
Have a great weekend.
