DIY: “TRICK OR TREAT” DOOR HANGER
October is one of my favorite months. I love fall and especially Halloween. I was looking through my stash of Halloween decor for something to hang on my front door.
I really wanted something different than the usual Halloween wreath. So I decided to just make something new.
And for some reason, I love anything with witches for Halloween. So I decided to create a wooden Halloween door hanger with witch legs.
So out to the garage I went to hunt for some wood pieces that I could make this out of. I have some affiliate links for your convenience. In case you are in in need of anything. Here are the items you will need to recreate this piece if you want to:
1/2″ Plywood Boards
Craft Paints
Craft Glue
Paint Brushes
Burlap Ribbon
Wire & Picture Hangers
And the tools that I used for this project:
Jigsaw
Scroll Saw
Ruler
Hammer
Sander
Dremel
I found a piece of plywood that would work for the large circle and another piece for the witch legs.

Now, my first dilemma. I needed to cut a large circle from the piece of square wood. I wanted the circle to be about 22″ round. I couldn’t find anything that large.
So I went to You Tube and found this great video on how to make a larger circle. I am attaching the link in case you want to see how it works.

Now, for cutting the circle out. I had a little help with my cutting process. Yay for me. He is better a using the power tools than I am.
